Len B. hosts Olympics opening party in London

PAGE SIX ITEM OF THE DAY: Len Blavatnik may be getting shut out of Universal’s upcoming sell-off of goodies, but he’s got other ways to spend his money. According to Page Six, the Warner Music owner hosted a bash at the Tate Modern in London to celebrate the Olympics’ opening Friday. Guests—including Prince Albert of Monaco, Lyor Cohen and Tory Burch, Lloyd Blankfein, boxer Wladimir Klitschko and Mark Ronson—attended a dinner and performance by players in the upcoming U.K. musical Finding Neverland, inspired by the 2004 film starring Johnny Depp as the creator of the character Peter Pan. Seven hundred people packed the museum for an after-party. Julian Ovenden and Rosalie Craig are starring in Finding Neverland, which begins performances in September, in Leicester, before a move to London’s West End. Katherine Jenkins and Paolo Nutini also performed at the music mogul’s Tate bash. Danny Boyle’s Olympic opening the same night also had a tribute to J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan, read by “Harry Potter” creator JK Rowling. (7/30a)
