iTUNES TOP 10 SINGLES: There’s action on the right side of the iTunes splash page, where resides the store’s singles chart—an extremely useful hour-by-hour barometer of consumer activity. This morning, there’s a newly crowned #1: Kanye West, Jay-Z and Big Sean’s “Clique” (G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam/IDJ), which has dethroned Taylor Swift’s mighty “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” (Big Machine), while PSY’s “Gangnam Style” (YG/Schoolboy/Republic) has danced to #4, right behind Maroon 5’s latest smash “One More Night” (A&M Octone). Another comer, Alex Clare’s “Too Close” (Republic), has climbed to #6, between Fun.’s “Some Nights” (Fueled by Ramen) and Swift’s “Ronan.” The rest of the Top 10: Justin Bieber’s “As Long as You Love Me” (Island/IDJ), P!nk’s “Blow Me (One Last Kiss” (RCA) and Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Good Time”—giving Republic FIVE of the Top 10 singles.
