MULTI-NETWORK TRIBUTE ANNOUNCED

Telethon to Air on Big Four Networks; Lennon Tribute Rescheduled for October
ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox will simulcast a live, two-hour, commercial-free telethon to raise money for the long-term relief effort, aiding the thousands of Americans who have directly suffered from the Sept. 11 terror attack on America.

America: A Tribute to Heroes will air live Friday, Sept. 21, from 9-11 p.m. ET (8-10 p.m. CT, and tape-delayed at 9-11 p.m. PT).

The show will feature sports stars, actors and musicians, including Bon Jovi, Amy Brenneman, Jim Carrey, George Clooney, Sheryl Crow, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, the Dixie Chicks, Robert De Niro, Clint Eastwood, Calista Flockhart, Dennis Franz, Kelsey Grammer, Tom Hanks, Faith Hill, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Conan O'Brien, Tom Petty, Ray Romano, Julia Roberts, Paul Simon, Will Smith, Sela Ward, Robin Williams, Stevie Wonder and Neil Young.

All funds raised from the program will go to the relief effort. All costs will be underwritten by the Networks, and everyone involved will be donating his or her time and resources.

The celebrities will be in both New York and Los Angeles, and the show will feature music, "memories, hope and inspiration." It's being produced by MTV Movie Awards veteran Joel Gallen, who is also executive producer of Ben Stiller's new Zoolander flick.

Also announced today was the rescheduled date for Come Together, a concert tribute for John Lennon. The show, which will be taped live for TNT at Radio City Music Hall on Oct. 2, will air Oct. 9.

Kevin Spacey is the host. Scheduled to participate are Alanis Morissette, Cyndi Lauper, Dave Matthews, the Isley Brothers, Lou Reed, Marc Anthony, Moby, Nelly Furtado, Seal, Shelby Lynne, Stone Temple Pilots and Yolanda Adams.
