LOUDEYE TEAMS UP WITH WMG

Deal Gives Loudeye Unlimited Access
To Acme Products
Loudeye Technologies has struck a non-exclusive agreement with Warner Music Group.

The deal gives the digital media solution provider the rights to digitally store, encode and deliver WMG-controlled recordings and music videos to Internet companies that have already received licensing for WMG content.

The sites will receive WMG's content in multiple formats via Loudeye's digital media applications and media format structure.

"Loudeye's ability to handle large amounts of content in a variety of formats and serve numerous sites makes them an ideal partner for our licensees that are looking to outsource certain digital media services," said WMG Executive Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development Paul Vidich. While he did use the word "outsource," Vidich was penalized for not also employing "paradigm" or "synergy."

"This agreement with Warner Music Group is a significant endorsement of the quality digital media solutions Loudeye can provide the record industry for legitimate digital media distribution," said Martin Tobias, Loudeye founder, CEO and minister of order and reason. "The music business is a $40 billion industry. As one of the first major record labels to embrace the Internet as a critical digital music delivery vehicle, Warner stands poised to reap the rewards of an expanded market opportunity through a successful Internet strategy."

Tobias added: "As a minister, I'm hoping the partnership will help me teach that wascally wabbit some weligion."
