WHAT IT IS: Brooklyn native Lola Brooke has been honing her craft since childhood. She dropped her first music video to a freestyle titled “2017 Flow,” with its hooky “Bars is back” refrain, which kicked off the budding rapper-songwriter’s career. After dropping subsequent tracks including “On My Mind,” “Don’t Play With It” f/Billy B and “Gator Season,” Brooke is gearing up for her next single, “Here I Come,” set for release on 11/18.
