WHAT IT IS: After years of penning songs for artists including Ashley McBryde (“One Night Standards”), Lainey Wilson, William Michael Morgan and Chrissy Metz, Pillbox Patti, the nom de plume of Nicolette Hayford, is stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist. Her debut singles “Young and Stupid” and “Good People,” which offer a fresh, authentic take on growing up country, introduce Hayford’s alter ego and give fans a glimpse of what to expect on the budding artist’s upcoming project, Florida, a reference to her home state.
