WHAT IT IS: Born Azniv Korkejian in Aleppo, Syria, to Armenian parents, Bedouine spent her childhood in Saudi Arabia, moving to America when her family won a Green Card lottery. Influenced by her own wanderlust and curiosity, Bird Songs of a Killjoy—the singer/songwriter’s highly anticipated, sophomore album—has already garnered excitement from NPR, Stereogum and more. In 2017, she released her self-titled debut album to widespread critical acclaim, grabbing the attention of Vogue, Rolling Stone, Fader, Stereogum and more.
