WHAT IT IS: The native of Muscle Shoals, Ala., describes her sound as the trifecta of country, soul and adult pop. Being influenced by the rich music history of her hometown, Rachel was shaped by the artistic gusto that occurs when those sounds merge. At age 12, Wammack wrote her first song; at 17, she was discovered by a Sony Music Nashville label rep in the area. Today, she’s one of the most-talked-about new artists in Nashville.
