WHAT IT IS: This multifaceted, 21-year-old artist is stepping into her own lane with sophomore album I Don’t Believe We’ve Met, out now. As the title suggests, Bradbery reintroduced herself after taking the time following her debut LP to focus on the writing process and, for the first time, infusing her own story into her songs; she penned seven of the album’s 10 tracks. Lead single “Sway”—written alongside Johan Fransson and Grammy-winning songwriter Emily Weisband—seamlessly infuses her pop, R&B, soul and country influences. And the video for it went #1 at iTunes upon release. Her next single, “Worth It,” is expected to hit Country radio at the end of February and follows national TV performances of the emotional tune on Today and The Voice. The songstress recently earned her first CMT Music Awards nomination for Performance of the Year with Thomas Rhett and Nick Jonas, who performed “Close” with her on CMT Crossroads. The Texas native has worked on finetuning her unique sound since getting her start winning Season 4 of NBC’s The Voice, where she quickly found success with the gold-certified “The Heart of Dixie” and other single “Young in America.” Since then, Bradbery has shared the bill with notable acts like Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Brett Eldredge, Hunter Hayes and Scotty McCreery. In addition to playing festivals throughout the summer, she frequently got to surprise crowds on Thomas Rhett’s Home Team Tour, performing their intoxicating duet, “Playing with Fire”—from the deluxe version of his sophomore album.
