While most Los Angelenos barricaded themselves inside to avoid last night’s harsh 54-degree chill, some brave ones packed The Fonda Theatre for Alt 98.7’s December to Remember holiday concert, using body heat and friction to warm up.

Glassnote’s Baio opened the night with his '80s synth-pop sounds, leaving the crowd screaming for Vampire Weekend’s beloved bassist-turned-DJ/vocalist. Highlights included fan favorite "The Names" and his single, expected to chart very soon, "Sister of Pearl." Later in the evening, Baio was spotted battling his Monotone management team in a serious game of shuffleboard, distracting them with his adorkable dance moves to win the champion title. Turns out his charm doesn't only work on screaming teen girls.

Keeping it in the family, Glassnote’s Scottish trio, CHVRCHES, headlined the sold-out room with their magnetic set of electro-pop. Lead singer Lauren Mayberry exuded cool confidence as she commanded the stage with delicately defiant vocals, drum hits—yes, she plays drums too—and head bangs. Her male counterparts energized the room, providing the beats and basslines that kept the crowd moving.

Key members of the Glassnote mishpucha spotted singing and dancing through the night included Head of Promotion Nick Petropoulos, Head of West Coast Promotion Greta Van Raam, Head of Creative & Marketing McKee Floyd and the princesses of publicity, Lauren Papapietro and Lauren Resnick. Rumor has it they’ll be joining CHVRCHES as background dancers for the band’s appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden tonight.

Tune into CBS later for their live TV performance of upcoming single “Clearest Blue." For the altacockers too tired to stay up past 12am, peep the lyric video (embedded below) for a taste.

L'chaim,
