ARI LENNOX HEADS TO WARNER CHAPPELL
4/28/21

Ari Lennox has inked a global administration agreement with Warner Chappell Music. The deal covers Lennox’s existing and future works.

The R&B singer/songwriter released her critically acclaimed debut album, Shea Butter Baby, in 2019, which yielded the RIAA platinum-certified single, “Shea Butter Baby” f/J. Cole. Most recently, she collaborated with award-winning artist Jazmine Sullivan on Heaux Tales, which topped the R&B Albums chart.

“There’s so much to be said about Ari and her music, but her artistic drive is what truly sets her apart. She’s spent the last seven years working towards this moment, and I’m looking forward to the many successes I know we’ll share with her and the Dreamville team,” said WCM President of A&R, U.S., Ryan Press.

“Her unique sound has captivated fans around the world, and I personally couldn't be prouder to welcome her to our Warner Chappell family,” added WCM VP of A&R, Wallace Joseph.

“The Warner Chappell team has always supported me. I’ve known Wallace and Ryan Press for some time now and I am so thrilled to be a part of the family,” shared Lennox.

Beginning her career with YouTube covers, Lennox independently released her debut EP, Ariography, in 2013 before becoming the first female artist signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville. She made her major label debut with the Dreamville/Interscope EP, Pho, which reached the Top 20 on the R&B Albums chart.

Since embarking on her first sold-out headlining tour in 2019, Lennox opened for Lizzo’s sold-out Cuz I Love You Too Tour and teamed up with Bas and Baby Rose in 2020 for “Self Love” from Revenge of the Dreamers III. The platinum album hit #1 and earned a Grammy nomination. Lennox has previously collaborated with artists like Doja Cat, Chance the Rapper, Wale, Ty Dolla $ign, Kiana Ledé and more.
