SONY PROMOTES HAMBLION
3/10/21

Sony Music Publishing has promoted Maree Hamblion to Senior Vice President, International A&R, in the company’s Australia office. She will spearhead the company’s international A&R efforts, sign and discover songwriters, and create new opportunities and collaborations for the company’s songwriters across the globe. Hamblion reports to MD, Scandinavia and SVP A&R, Europe, Johnny Tennander and Managing Director, Australia, Damian Trotter.

“Maree has long been a powerhouse of A&R within the Australian music publishing industry, having identified and developed many of its most successful songwriters,” Trotter said.

Among Hamblion’s signings are Alex Hope, Sarah Aarons and Jawsh 685. Hamblion spent more than two decades with EMI, and since EMI’s merger with Sony/ATV in 2012, she has worked her way up from Senior A&R Manager.
