DAVID HODGES SELLS COPYRIGHTS
10/6/20

Multi-platinum writer and producer David Hodges has sold his catalog to Kobalt Capital's fund, where it will continue to be administered and serviced by Kobalt Music Publishing.

The Grammy and BMI award-winning Hodges, who is managed by Milk & Honey’s President/Founder, Lucas Keller, will also continue his long-time publishing partnership deal with Kobalt for all future works.

Kobalt will continue overseeing Hodges’ #1 hits like Evanescence’s “Bring Me To Life” and “My Immortal,” Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Because of You,” plus many more. As a founding member of Evanescence, Hodges has also penned songs for the likes of Keith Urban, 5SOS, Blink 182, Weezer, Dan + Shay and Avril Lavigne.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Kobalt for over 7 years,” shared Hodges. “Having poured my life into creating these songs over the last two decades, I could not think of a better home for them than Kobalt.”

“After many years of partnership and supporting David, we’re extremely proud to have helped him build such a great catalog of hits,” said Kobalt Founder/Chairman, Willard Ahdritz. Keller adds, “I am so happy that his catalog went to Kobalt, a place that he’s called home for many years now and a company that we both really believe in and have, from early on."
