Things are starting to heat up a little, on and off the chart. There are some big releases on the schedule arriving over the next few weeks as we, hopefully, head toward a relatively “normal-ish” summer.
Interscope’s Romano & Lopes had one of the new big releases this week with Billie Eilish’s “Your Power” (Darkroom), which they put at the top of the addboard with 141 impact adds. The track has already charted and is quickly Top 20 bound. Machine Gun Kelly’s “my ex’s best friend” f/blackbear moves into Power rotation everywhere and is now in the Top 3 with a closed-out panel. Maroon 5’s “Beautiful Mistakes” f/Megan Thee Stallion is headed for the MB Top 10 and it’s been Top 15 on Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits for the last five weeks. It’s currently Top 10 on Shazam and iTunes as well. Olivia Rodrigo’s “deja vu” was one of the week’s Greatest Gainers and is approaching the Top 15 with Top 10 Consumption for the past three weeks. Kali Uchis’ “telepatía” (Virgin EMI) is breaking fast and already Top 25 after four consecutive weeks in the Top 10 Most Added column. “’Telepatia’ is the BOP in Miami right now. Driving with windows down, that song makes sitting in traffic fun,” said Y100 PD, Taylor Jukes.
Warner’s Chester, Dyer & Reich are also heating things up with Dua Lipa’s “We’re Good.” It sits just outside the Top 10 right now with research popping up everywhere. Saweetie’s “Best Friend” f/Doja Cat is now Top 15 with 170+ stations on board and sees big rotation increases coming in from WWPW, WHQC and KXXM. Bebe Rexha’s “Sacrifice” drives toward the Top 25 with new adds from KIIS, WFLZ and KNOU. Nessa Barrett’s “la di die” f/jxdn is breaking out of major markets with early airplay from Z100, KIIS, WKSC and WIOQ.
Columbia’s Gray, Burress, Bedard, Stevens & Brenner are delivering BTS platinum plaques as they set up to impact their newest single, “Butter.” Look for this one to land atop the Most Added column. Lil Nas X’s “MONTERO (Call Me by Your Name)” was once again a Top 5 Greatest Gainer with another 1000+ spin increase this week; this one is already in the Top 20. Ahead of his SNL performance with Miley Cyrus, The Kid LAROI’s “WITHOUT YOU” has officially joined the Top 5. Lil Tjay’s “Calling My Phone” f/6LACK is Top 30 at Pop and has already scored a #1 at Rhythm with Top 10 streams for ten consecutive weeks. Columbia, along with RECORDS’ Strazza, also have Nelly & Florida Georgia Line’s “Lil Bit” heading toward the Top 20 with new adds coming in this week from stations like KMVQ, HITS1, WFKS and WNRW.
Epic’s Sackheim, Afloarei & Dimig put three songs in the Top 10 Most Added column last week. REGARD’s “You” f/Troye Sivan & Tate McRae prepares to join the Top 30 as it pulls in 27 more adds, while GIVĒON’s “Heartbreak Anniversary” (Not So Fast) enters the Top 30 after earning 12 new adds from stations like KDWB, KZZP and WFKS, and DJ Khaled’s “I Did It” f/Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby & DaBaby picks up 9 adds prior to its official impact date. HVME’s “Goosebumps (Remix)” with Travis Scott is Top 10-bound with 560m+ streams. AJ Mitchell’s “STOP” has officially charted and was in the Most Added column three weeks in a row. Annika Wells’ “Sucks Being Sober” is chartbound with support from KTFM, WPLW, WVHT and WERO.
Def Jam’s Farag has Justin Bieber “Peaches” f/Daniel Caesar & GIVĒON eyeing the #1 spot. Only six weeks since it impacted radio, this one has a closed-out panel and should hit the coveted top spot very soon.
RCA’s Rothschild, Maldonado, JR & Daddio see another 26 adds come in on Riton X Nightcrawlers’ “Friday” f/Mufusa & Hypeman. It heads toward the chart as the #3 Most Added record this week. Doja Cat’s “Kiss Me More” f/SZA was last week’s Greatest Gainer and moved into the Top 20 with 180+ station on board in just two weeks’ time.
Republic’s Spangler & Romeo are enjoying another week in the #1 spot on the chart with The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears.” It looks like Ariana Grande’s “pov” will be their next chart topper as it moves up inside the Top 10 this week as one of the Greatest Gainers. Glass Animals’ “Heat Waves’ enters the Top 20 with big support from KENZ, MusicChoice and HITS1. JESSIA’s “I’m not Pretty” also charted this week with early adds from KHKS, KMVQ, KYLD and WIHT.
Over at Capitol, Marella, Nolletti, Acampora & Siciliano have moved Duncan Laurence’s “Arcade” into the Top 30 at Pop and Top 20 at Hot AC with over a billion global streams. It’s currently pulling in 2+ million streams a day and is seeing early airplay from stations including WKSC, WNKS, WEZB and WIOQ,
Hollywood’s Finck, Smith & Ennis have officially charted Sofia Carson’s “Fool’s Gold” with 60+ stations on board and new spins from KALV, KBFF, KHTS and KMVQ.
