Bombshell! Breaking news! Happening now! It seems like every week some longstanding record is being broken by current tracks, but is this all good? We’ve had three tracks in three weeks close out the panel on impact. It’s an impressive feat no doubt—something to be celebrated—but when these tracks race up the chart, landing inside the Top 20 (maybe Top 15) in just a few days, radio then sits and waits for them to hit callout. And unfortunately, as we’ve recently witnessed, radio runs before callout ever has a chance to kick in when the tracks look like they’re stalling. We’re operating in a world that moves music through our systems faster; when does callout catch up? Should other metrics be the guide if callout is unable to keep up? Just food for thought.

Republic’s Spangler, Romeo and Dastur are knocking it out of the park with back-to-back #1 Most Added tracks. First up, there’s Taylor Swift f/Brendon Urie’s “ME!,” which is already heading Top 5 and is on the top of every other list as well. And Shawn Mendes’ “If I Can’t Have You” (Island) is knocking on the door of the Top 10, while Top 10 at iTunes and Top 5 Spotify. Speaking of #1s, Jonas Brothers’ “Sucker” is sitting in the #1 spot for the fourth consecutive week. Their second single on the chart, “Cool,” is Top 15 as they wait for the 6/7 album release. Post Malone’s “Wow” is Top 5 and continues to stream big numbers each week. NOTD & Felix Jaehn f/Georgia Ku & Captain Cuts’ “So Close” is heading Top 25, and Kiana Ledé’s “EX” charts this week.

Columbia’s Burruss, Bedard, Stevens and Brenner had another great week with Lil Nas X mega-hit “Old Town Road” as the viral story just continues to grow. “This is such a smash—top of every metric,” says WKQI OM/PD Tony Travatto. The Chainsmokers f/5SOS’ “Who Do You Love” (Disruptor) is now Top 10. BTS f/Halsey’s “Boy with Luv” is the group’s first Top 20 U.S. hit. With appearances on GMA, Colbert and The Voice finals, the socials are out of control. SZA, The Weeknd & Travis Scott’s “Power is Power” charts at Pop and is now Top 20 at Rhythm.

In2une’s Connone and Lucek have Lauv & Troye Sivan’s “I’m so tired” (AWAL) moving up inside the Top 20. Spin leaders include HITS 1, WDJX and WPLW.

Caroline’s Saturn, Halpern and Holman are impacting SHAED’s “Trampoline” this week with 27 early adds that include WIHT, KDWB, KZHT and WKSSHollywood’s Finck, Smith and Ennis have In Real Life’s “Crazy AF” heading toward the chart with new adds coming in this week from WWPW, WZFT and WPLW; there are 45+ stations onboard.

Interscope’s Romano and Lopes are building a tremendous story on Billie Eilish with “when the party’s over” (Darkroom), making the Top 15 move while “bad guy” is set to join the Top 20. This story is truly one of a kind; Billie currently has 16 songs on the Spotify U.S. Top 200 chart, with four tracks in the Top 20. Juice WRLD’s “Hear Me Calling” (Grade A) pulls in new airplay from KMVQ, KLIF and KQMV as it heads toward the chart. BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” (YG) pulled in 30 first-week adds, including KYLD, WPOI and Radio Disney, putting it in the Most Added column.

12Tone’s Team Palmese put 18 adds on Christian Paul’s “Strong,” making it #3 Most Added on impact.

Capitol’s Marella, Nolletti, Siciliano and Acampora are impacting Halsey’s “Nightmare” this week; look for it at the top of the addboard. Sam Smith & Normani’s “Dancing with a Stranger” is poised to be the next #1. We hear the callout continues look strong as it moves to power everywhere. Mabel’s “Don’t Call Me Up” (Polydor U.K.) is Top 15 and Top 10 Global Shazam. Daddy Yankee & Katy Perry f/Snow’s “Con Calma” (El Cartel/UMLE) is heading Top 15 with 145+ stations onboard. And Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” is chartbound; spin leaders include HITS 1, WIOQ and WRVW.

RCA’s Riccitelli, JR and Daddio have Khalid’s “Talk’ set to join the Top 10. With 180+ stations on board and tons of power rotations coming in, this one looks headed for the top of the chart. P!nk’s “Walk Me Home” is Top 30; spin leaders include HITS 1, Music Choice, WZPL and KENZ. Martin Garrix f/Macklemore & Patrick Stump’s “Summer Days” charts this week with 70+ stations; new adds include KBKS, KHFI and KMVQ. Kygo & Rita Ora’s “Carry On” impacts this week, landing in the Top 10 Most Added column with 11 new stations.

Warner Bros.Chester, Dyer, Reich and Shih moved Bryce Vine f/YG’s “La La Land” (Sire) Top 25, pulling in adds from Y100, WPOW, KNOU and WAPE. Meanwhile, Dan + Shay’s “Speechless” (Warner Music Nashville) debuted at #34. There are 108m+ Spotify streams on this one, which is also already Top 15 at Hot AC.

Epic’s Sackheim, Afloarei and Dimig have AJ Mitchell’s “All My Friends” moving up inside the Top 25. They put it back in the Most Added column this week, with adds coming in from seven new stations, including KBFF, KXXM and WEZB. Travis Scott f/The Weeknd’s “Wake Up” (Cactus Jack/Grand Hustle)—now at 170m+ streams—is officially Top 30, while it heads Top 10 at Rhythm. There’s also Tom Walker’s “Just You and I,” which is moving toward the chart with 30+ stations on board.

MUSIC WE LOVE: Halsey’s “Nightmare” (Capitol), LIVVIA’s “Dizzy” (12Tone).
