Columbia Chairman/CEO Ron Perry will be honored as the UJA’s Music Visionary of the Year at a lunch this spring in recognition of his professional achievements and commitment to philanthropy.
The date and location for the event have yet to be announced, and reports are unconfirmed that Perry may perform a medley during the meal break of Yiddish favorites set to the melody of The Kid LAROI's "Stay."
"Ron is one of the new leaders of our industry," says UJA Music Division chair and Glassnote CEO Daniel Glass. "Throughout his career, Ron has stayed close to songwriters and artists. He's proven himself to be a true trailblazer and 'song person'—the greatest compliment a music executive can get."
Funds raised by the gala will benefit UJA’s annual campaign and help support the Music for Youth initiative, which provides music education programs for underprivileged and other children throughout New York.
