TOUR TIDBITS: NEW C3 FEST, JONI AT THE BOWL

Another pre-Grammy day, another heavy dose of touring news, this time led by details on C3's inaugural Minnesota Yacht Club festival, 7/19-20 in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

On the heels of No Doubt's Coachella reunion announcement, Gwen Stefani (pictured) will join Red Hot Chili Peppers and Alanis Morissette as a headliner, with the Black Crowes, The Offspring, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Gary Clark Jr. rounding out the bill. If only Prince were still alive to sail over from the nearby waters of Lake Minnetonka...

With her first-ever Grammy performance looming, Joni Mitchell revealed plans to stage a 10/19 Hollywood Bowl edition of Joni Jam, which was held publicly for the first time last June at The Gorge in Quincy, Washington. These grand returns for the Canadian folk/pop/jazz legend were shepherded by Brandi Carlile, who'll again be by her side in Los Angeles for what will be Mitchell's first proper show there in nearly a quarter century, since the year 2000.

Meanwhile, Avril Lavigne and Justin Timberlake have added a handful of dates to their respective Live Nation-promoted tours, and rapper A Boogie Wit da Hoodie will hit arenas and sheds internationally on LN's Better Off Alone run starting 4/10 in Auckland, New Zealand.

Of course the spring wouldn't be complete without the Punk in the Park festival, which will set up shop 5/5 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. Sip a craft beer or three while reliving your punk-rock youth alongside Descendents, the Vandals, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag and T.S.O.L. The event will be brought to you by the fine folks at Brew Ha Ha Productions.
