GALLO GETS GM STRIPES AT COLUMBIA

Joe Gallo is transitioning from Columbia’s EVP/head of sales to general manager, in which capacity he will continue to work with the full roster while also overseeing operations from the label’s NYC headquarters.

A decade-plus veteran of the company, Gallo—affectionately known in the building as "Joeypoo"—has overseen campaigns for the Ron Perry-led label's biggest names, including Beyoncé, Harry Styles, Adele, Lil Nas X and Tyler, the Creator.

"Joe’s level of dedication to Columbia's artists is infectious," says Columbia President Jen Mallory. "He wholeheartedly invests himself in every campaign using his innate intuition and deep knowledge of an evolving global marketplace to deliver the very best for our roster. He's an innovative strategist, diligent team player and a diehard music fan. We've worked together for over a decade and I look forward to shaping the future of Columbia together."

Adds Gallo, "Spending the last 10 years in a commercial role allowed me to work with teams across the label and its storied roster. I'm excited for the opportunity to expand upon Columbia's foundation and be a part of its future. I want to continue to raise the bar of success for our artists and am proud to work alongside the best team in the business. I’m grateful for the guidance, trust and support that Ron Perry and Jen Mallory entrust in me and consider it a privilege to call this place home."

Joe strongly hopes to avoid appearing on this website in the future. He looks forward to celebrating his new post with a feast at Umberto's Clam House.
