K-POP EXECS LAUNCH TITAN CONTENT

K-pop veteran and former SM Entertainment CEO Nikki Semin Han is aiming to create a new multinational player in the K-pop space with the launch of Titan Content, which will be based in the U.S. and operate studio facilities in Seoul and Los Angeles.

At SM, Han (pictured second from right) worked with K-pop acts like BoA, Girls’ Generation, EXO, SUPER JUNIOR and The Boyz. Joining him at Titan Content will be such veteran K-pop executives as (l-r) Guiom Lee (chief visual officer), Katie Kang (CEO) and Lia Kim (chief performance officer). Former SM USA SVP Dom Rodriguez (pictured solo) will be Titan's chief business officer.

Titan will “develop and create” new K-pop artists and expand the genre’s reach with festivals, brand deals and forays into Web3, metaverse and AI content.

Initial seed-round investors and partners include Animoca Ventures, Sfermion, Bell Partners AB, Heros Entertainment, Infinity Ventures Crypto, Scrum Ventures, Planetarium and Avalanche.

“Think of Titan like the ‘Avengers’ of the K-pop community, joining forces to redefine the industry," goes a quote from Han. "With a proven record of elevating global superstars, Titan’s founders and executives have played key roles in helping shape K-pop and making it a global lifestyle with passionate fans across the world. Together, we’re creating a company where artists thrive, fans come first, music takes center stage and industry disruption reigns supreme.”

Rumors that the company has made good on its "Avengers" model by acquiring a Tesseract could not be confirmed at press time.
