CIRQUE DU COUNTRY

Cirque du Soleil and Universal Music Group Nashville are creating a new touring show. It will start in Nashville in July.

The show will feature the usual Cirque acrobatics along with the music of country legends and contemporary stars.

“We are thrilled at the idea of joining forces with Cirque du Soleil to offer a one-of-a-kind show celebrating classic and modern country music,” said UMG Nashville Chair and CEO Cindy Mabe. “Cirque du Soleil is a shining example of making the impossible possible through creativity, collaboration and emotion. The opportunity to highlight our incredible catalog and bring the history of country music to life in a live theatrical setting will allow our music to live on with a new generation of audiences and country music fans.”

The first stop on the North American tour will be at Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville.

Cirque du Soleil is holding auditions 12/4-7, a perfect opportunity for anyone who can play fiddle atop a 12-person pyramid then somersault into a moving train car.
