SANTUCCI STREAMS INTO VERVE

Former Spotify exec Michele Santucci has joined Verve Label Group as VP, Streaming, responsible for the streaming strategy for releases on the Verve, Decca U.S., Impulse! and Verve Forecast labels.

Santucci will also work closely with international label partners Decca, Decca Classics, Deutsche Grammophon, ECM and Hyperion.

“Michele is an exceptional executive with an industry-leading skillset,” VLG President and CEO Dickon Stainer said. “She joins VLG at the perfect moment to help our artists and their music navigate the many routes to worldwide discovery, in tandem with our global partners.”

Santucci spent a decade at Spotify in various roles including Recorded Music Lead & Supervising Producer for Spotify Studios, where she oversaw the creative development, production and launch of recorded music programs. Under her management, Spotify's longest-running original music program, Spotify Singles, crossed the 7b stream threshold and expanded to 20+ markets worldwide.

Additionally, Santucci managed a relationship with Electric Lady Studios and produced the Live at Electric Lady series, which generated 12 EPs recorded at the legendary New York studio. Santucci’s experience also includes more than six years at Sony Music.

Santucci’s first challenge is finding new audiences for 17-minute John Coltrane solos.
