SINGER SETTLES INTO L.A. FEDERATION ROLE

After 26 years with the United Jewish Appeal-Federation-New York (UJA-NY), Steven Singer made the cross-country move to California, where he served as senior executive director of development at City of Hope until August 2022. Now, as the new SVP of development at the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, he's using his decades of experience to strengthen the organization's resolve to ensure the continuity of the Jewish people, support a secure State of Israel and continue to care for Jews in need in the U.S. and overseas.

The organization focuses on building meaningful relationships and partnerships with communities of all backgrounds and fighting antisemitism while caring for the most vulnerable members of the Jewish community.

Singer's résumé includes spearheading a host of fundraising events in the entertainment industry. During his tenure at UJA-NY, he raised more than $7m annually. At City of Hope, he took part in the organization's Spirit of Life campaign honoring Republic founders Monte and Avery Lipman. He now plans to continue fighting all forms of hate—while doing his best to avoid HITS at all costs.
