BTS AND HYBE HEAD TO DISNEY

K-pop superstars BTS are reportedly headed to Disney streaming platforms following a global content deal between HYBE and the Hollywood giant. The arrangement encompasses five major titles, three of which have been revealed.

Among the announced titles is BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage, a concert film featuring the group's 2021 show at SoFi Stadium, which was the first time they'd met fans in person since the pandemic had begun, and BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, a docuseries tracking the band's rise with "unprecedented access." Also included is In the Soop: Friendcation, a "travel show" with band member V and other South Korean stars.

“This will be the start of a long-term collaboration where we present worldwide audiences a wide range of HYBE content for fans who love our music and artists," noted HYBE CEO Park Ji-won.

The move, part of Disney's significant expansion into Asian content, comes just one month after BTS announced its "official hiatus."
