IS THAT A REAL PONCHO, OR IS THAT A SEARS PONCHO?

Cherrytree Music's The Last Bandoleros, whose new set, Tex Flex, is out now, performed with rock icon Sting in Italy. There the group presented him with a branded poncho. He accepted this gift graciously, though he declined to wear one of manager Martin Kierszenbaum's branded fanny packs.

The Bandos open for Robert Plant and Alison Krauss in the Netherlands this week, after which they'll rejoin the tour of German arena band The BossHoss. After that, they'll return to the States to play with Sting again in Virginia 9/3-5. You can check out the first single from Tex Flex, "Every Time We Dance," right here.
