YOLA, BRANDI, RUSSELL LEAD AMERICANA NOMS


The announcement of the Americana Honors & Awards nominations brought together, from left, Henry Hicks (President & CEO of NMAAM), Allen Christian (Fisk Jubilee Singers), Dr. Paul Kwami (Musical Director of Fisk Jubilee Singers), Michael and Tanya Trotter (The War and Treaty), Adia Victoria and Jed Hilly (Executive Director of the Americana Music Association).

Allison Russell, Yola and Brandi Carlile have secured three nominations each for the 21st annual Americana Music Association’s Americana Honors & Awards.

The announcement of the nominations was held at Nashville’s National Museum of African American Music and revealed by hosts The War and Treaty, who received a nom for Duo/Group of the Year.

The winners will be announced 9/14 at a ceremony at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium during AMERICANAFEST, which runs 9/13-17.
