CLAPTON'S QUICK RUN

Eric Clapton will play seven shows in the U.S. in September, wrapping with a two-night stand at Madison Square Garden.

His second night at the Garden will be his 50th performance there; his first was on 11/2/68 with Cream. His band for the Live Nation-produced outing includes Doyle Bramhall II, Paul Carrack, Nathan East, Sonny Emory and Chris Stainton. Jimmie Vaughan is the opener.

Tickets go on sale Friday.
