MIRAVAL STUDIOS TO REOPEN

Miraval Studios, at the South of France's Château Miraval, will reopen its doors this summer.

The newly remodeled studio arrives after major renovation by Miraval Estate owner Brad Pitt and Emmy-winning French producer Damien Quintard—who inked a joint-venture deal for Miraval this year.

“The combination of Brad’s vision for Miraval and our common passion for taking the time to make simple but beautiful things has resulted in something that is one-of-a-kind,” said Quintard. “We are so excited for musicians of all types to be a part of what we’ve created.”

In 1977, the estate’s then-owner, French pianist and composer Jacques Loussier, built a studio on the property called Studio Miraval, which hosted sessions for Pink Floyd’s “The Wall,” AC/DC, The Cure, Sting, Sade, The Cranberries, Elton John and more.

In addition to the original gear, the new studio will feature a complete redesign and is built around a desk designed by Pitt and Quintard with hybrid analog/digital capacities. It also boasts a fully integrated Dolby Atmos system as well as technology to handle pre-mixing for film and TV, and is equipped with recording booths, vintage synths and more.

Miraval Studios is now booking for the summer of next year. No word yet on if Pitt will drop an album.
