TIKTOK MEETS THE BEATLES

Hey kids! There’s a band that just joined TikTok with a collection of songs your mother should know. They’re called The Beatles.

Three dozen songs from the Fab Four, including “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “Day Tripper” and all of Let It Be, are available for TikTokers to use in their videos.

The debut of a sliver of The Beatles catalog arrives as Apple Corps/Capitol/UMe releases expanded editions of Let It Be ahead of the Peter Jackson doc Get Back, which will air on Disney+ over Thanksgiving weekend.

Beatles solo music has been made available on TikTok for promotional purposes over the last year: Paul McCartney’s tunes were OK’d in conjunction with McCartney III; the appearance of George Harrison’s music coincided with the release of the All Things Must Pass box; and John Lennon’s solo work landed on the platform on his 80th birthday.

Maybe someday “You Know My Name (Look up My Number)” will go viral.
