Patti Smith has released a live album on Spotify via Kundudo/Columbia. It's her first collection of newly recorded music since 2012’s Banga.
Live at Electric Lady is a seven-track set that includes covers of Bob Dylan’s “One Too Many Mornings” and Stevie Wonder’s “Blame It on the Sun” and a nine-minute version of “Birdland.” It was recorded live at Electric Lady in April.
Calling Electric Lady her favorite recording studio, Smith said, “It was a unique challenge that offered us an exciting and innovative platform. We are grateful to Spotify for their generous support and willingness to present a live performance with all its possibilities of risk and revelation."
