Bo Burnham's Inside has become a multifront pop-cultural phenomenon. The Netflix comedy special was nominated for six Emmy Awards; Netflix is mounting a theatrical run, which has been extended due to high demand; and the album, Inside (The Songs) (Imperial/Republic), has resided in the Top 10 since its release.
The album has moved back to #2 on iTunes, with three tracks in Spotify's Top 100 (U.S.), led by TikTok fave "Bezos," which has inspired more than 175k videos.
Given the project's Emmys showing, you'd be forgiven for asking how much Grammy love Inside (The Songs)—the first comedy album in years to maintain a presence on the charts—might receive.
In the meantime, at least we have a soundtrack for resilient Amazon delivery drivers and aspiring entrepreneurs.
in a week, inside will be in theaters nationwide (and canada). should be fun. if you couldn’t get tickets before, we’ve added many more theaters and screenings. https://t.co/YankW6ZJN9
