WORLDSTARHIPHOP, CREATE LAUNCH WORLDSTAR DISTRO

Music and media platform WorldStarHipHop, whose reach extends to an audience of more than 100m, has partnered with Create Music Group to launch WorldStar Distro, a full-service music-distribution hub for independent artists.

The new service empowers indie artists by distributing their music to all major DSPs for only $1.99 a month.

“We see thousands of promising new unsigned artists come through our platforms every year,” said WorldStar executive Will Hoopes. “Being able to offer them additional support via WorldStar Distro is something we’ve wanted to do for a very long time. Our partnership with Create Music Group, a company that is unparalleled in its work launching viral artists, ensures that WorldStar Distro artists will be backed by the latest distribution technology available anywhere.”

“The team at WorldStarHipHop has built one of the most influential brands in hip-hop, one that is equally respected by established and up-and-coming artists and the industry alike,” said Wayne Hampton (pictured), co-founder and Chief Business Development Officer at Create Music Group. “We’ve had a long and successful relationship with WorldStar and we’re excited to be able to power their new distribution platform, which is sure to be a game-changer for indie artists everywhere.”

Artists who release music via WorldStar Distro have the potential to gain exposure on the company’s sprawling social media channels, including WorldStarHipHop.com (20m monthly visitors), YouTube (25m+ subscribers) and Instagram (30.9m followers), among other outlets. Recent WorldStar Distro successes include Atlanta rapper Lil Donald, whose single “Do Better” has been certified gold.

Other viral stars championed early in their careers by WorldStar include Cardi B, Kodak Black, 6ix9ine and Blueface.
