COLUMBIA ON TOUR:
VAXXED EDITION

Columbia's promo team went out in force last week, this time with a fleet of 12 buses visiting radio partners across the nation. With the aptly named Vaxx, Plaques & Playbacks Tour, Big Red is bringing the fun back to the biz as the label expands from strictly virtual schmoozing, while maintaining safe COVID-19 practices, of course.

Peter Gray's band of promo hitters visited more than 100 markets throughout the week to set up the highly anticipated new BTS single, “Butter,” which comes out 5/21 ahead of its 5/24 impact date. They seized the opportunity to deliver multiplatinum plaques for BTS, Harry Styles and 24kGoldn to programmers as well. One unexpected challenge was to try and outfox the ravenous BTS Army, which was doing its best to pinpoint the location of the buses.

Rumors that the next Columbia bus tour will feature Ron Perry performing "Wonderwall" in Target parking lots could not be confirmed at press time.
