Here’s the scene: Ferris Buehler has ditched his rock 'n' roll history class and the teacher is asking, “In 1958, after moving to Detroit, Otis Williams led a group called… Anyone? Anyone? The Siberians, which became... Anyone? Anyone? The El Domingoes? The Distants? And eventually… Anyone? They merged with The Primes… Anyone?”
It’s playing out a little differently on Warner Music Group’s Rock & Roll High School podcast, hosted by producer and A&R exec Pete Ganbarg. The series opens with Ganbarg talking with Nile Rodgers, Graham Nash and Go-Go’s bassist Kathy Valentine. New episodes will launch every other week and include Otis Williams and Ron Tyson of The Temptations (5/20), Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff (7/1) and Todd Rundgren (8/26).
We look forward to a guest appearance by Riff Randell.
