THE BOWL WILL
HAVE A SEASON

The Hollywood Bowl will reopen this summer with a 14-week season that will begin in July. The lineup of artists, dates, and ticketing details will be announced 5/11.

The Hollywood Bowl, which has more than 17,000 seats, will be able to seat about 4,000 people when concerts resume in May with four free concerts for healthcare workers, first responders, and essential workers as a gesture of thanks.

Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil will perform on 5/15 and 5/22; Thundercat and Flying Lotus are booked for 6/12, and La Santa Cecelia plays 6/26.

“We anticipate ramping up to greater capacity later in the summer,” the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, which runs the Bowl, wrote in its announcement.

Andrea Bocelli announced on Thursday that his May date at the Bowl had been moved to October. The only other shows currently booked are Daryl Hall & John Oates on 10/1 and Alanis Morissette on 10/5.

The LA Phil also runs the Ford Amphitheatre and will announce its season on 5/25.

Safety protocols, policies and procedures will be announced soon.
