CHART FINAL: ANNIVERSARIES

Morgan Wallen’s latest week at #1 on the HITS Top 50 will seal his historic run with Dangerous (Big Loud/Republic); the country star’s album, which tops the chart with 71k, is the first of this century to spend its initial 10 weeks at #1. Wallen’s reign will likely end with the next chart, however, as Justin Bieber lines up what’s expected to be a strong bow for Justice (RBMG/Def Jam).

Warner’s Dua Lipa gets a healthy boost from a memorable Grammy-night performance, not to mention a win for Best Pop Vocal Album. Future Nostalgia rises to #3, a new peak for the U.K. diva.

R&B breakthrough GIVĒON lands the top debut by merging his two EPs for a deluxe album, When It’s All Said and Done… Take Time (Epic/Not So Fast). It opens at #6 with 30k. Other notable bows include Nick JonasSpaceman (Island) at #12 and Selena Gomez’s Spanish-language Revelacíon (Interscope) at #19.

Enjoying the largest surge from Music’s Biggest Night is three-time Album of the Year winner Taylor Swift. AOTY folklore (Republic) scored a 64% increase, leaping to #9, while Swift’s evermore moved #23-17, a 23% bump. Columbia’s Harry Styles, whose performance kicked off the 3/14 telecast—and who won the first Grammy of his career that Sunday—saw his Fine Line re-enter the Top 20 (+26%).

Streeting this week are the aforementioned Bieber set and releases from Interscope’s Lana Del Rey, Big Machine’s Midland and Epic’s DDG x OG Parker.

In pandemic news, it turns out that identifying yourself as a “trade weasel” does not move you to the front of the vaccination line.
