ANOTHER PLANET EXPANDS TO SOCAL

Indie promotion giant Another Planet Entertainment, promoter to Outside Lands, Life is Beautiful and the Bay Area's Greek Theatre and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, has expanded its management arm and launched in SoCal. Joining Another Planet Management is Telegraph Road Management, helmed by Laurence Freedman. The expansion comes as the live industry aims for an incredible bounce-back following a trying year.

Freedman will head APM’s new Los Angeles office bringing his roster which includes longtime clients Billy Idol, Mike Campbell/The Dirty Knobs and Benmont Tench, along with plus Cherry Glazerr, Miya Folick and Advertisement.

A seasoned music manager, Freedman got his start working with Tony Dimitriades, manager of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and Billy Idol, at East End Management. Evan Bright, long-time East End/Telegraph Road manager, will also join Freedman at APM.

Freedman stated, “We’re thrilled to be joining Another Planet, an independent, like-minded company I have long admired on a professional and personal level. Together we’ll create new opportunities to serve our clients, all of whom are world-class artists deserving of the finest team to support their endeavors.”

APM, founded by Bryan Duquette, is an offshoot of APE headed by CEO Gregg Perloff. The roster includes GRAMMY nominated Tycho and Saint Sinner, Poolside, Amen Dunes, Madeline Kenney, Nap Eyes, Minna Choi as well as recently signed DRAMA and Brijean.

APE just announced the lineup for Las Vegas festival Life is Beautiful on Wednesday, along with a Save Our Stages marquee campaign titled "One Year Dark," acknowledging a full year of music venues shutting down due to the pandemic.

On Saturday, 3/13, independent music venues across the country, including APE's The Independent, Bill Graham, Great American Music Hall and Fox Theatre will display "One Year Dark" on their marquees and social media. Follow #saveourstages and #oneyeardark on 3/13.
