Taylor Swift’s new version of her 2008 hit “Love Story” shoots to #1 at iTunes songs on a Flipover Friday that’s also sunny for RCA.
Besides topping the sales chart, Swift’s “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” (Republic) is already Top 30 at Apple Music.
RCA is well represented by Pentatonix’s first full-length original album since 2015, The Lucky Ones, at #2 at iTunes, and Judas and the Black Messiah: The Inspired Album, at #10. The soundtrack is also the top new arrival at Apple Music, sitting at #5. “Cover Me in Sunshine” from P!nk and her daughter, Willow Sage Hart, another RCA release, is #5 at iTunes songs.
On the album-sales side, the fourth studio album from The Pretty Reckless, Death by Rock and Roll (Goin’ Down/Fearless), tops the chart, followed by Florida Georgia Line’s fifth studio set, Life Rolls On (BMLG), at #3.
Music: Songs From and Inspired By the Motion Picture (Monkey Puzzle/Atlantic), the album accompaniment to Crush-managed Sia's feature directorial debut, is #5.
Love and Death, led by Korn guitarist Brian Welch, sees Perfectly Preserved (Blind Tiger) rise to #8, and Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman arrives at #9 with the self-released Departures.
TikTok country artist Cooper Alan is #2 at iTunes songs with “Tough Ones” (Cooped Up). “We Wouldn’t Be Us” from Internet phenom Alexandra Kay is #6.
At Apple Music, Junior H’s $ad Boyz 4 Life (Warner Latina) is #13.
