EPIC/LEGACY REVISITS THE JACKSONS

The three albums The Jacksons released in the late 1970s are being expanded for release in February via Epic Records and Sony Legacy.

The project starts 2/12 with the digital releases of 1976’s The Jacksons, Goin' Places from 1977 and 1978’s Destiny. Each title includes the original album bundled with a handful of bonus tracks.

Meanwhile, a two-LP edition of The Jacksons Live!, recorded during their 1981 North American tour, will be released on 3/26.

The Jacksons, originally released on Epic/Philadelphia International Records, was produced/executive produced by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. Home to the hits “Enjoy Yourself” and “Show You the Way to Go," it was their first album to go gold.

Goin' Places featured two new songs written by The Jacksons, "Do What You Wanna" and "Different Kind of Lady." It sold more than half a million units worldwide.

Destiny was the first album The Jacksons produced on their own. It yielded the hit “Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground).” Their first platinum album, it sold more than 4m copies worldwide.
