IT'S XMAS AT SPOTIFY

Christmas songs had a historic day on the 12/24 Spotify global chart, with the Top 10 songs all surpassing 8m streams and, in a first, the Top 200 songs all notching north of 1m.

Mariah Carey's yuletide juggernaut, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," was the star atop the tree with 17.2m streams—a new record for most daily streams—while Ariana Grande's "Santa Tell Me" gifted itself with the #3 spot and 12.2m streams, which amounted to Ari's biggest single day ever at the DSPs—and yes, Virginia, that includes "7 Rings." The Top 7 songs all exceeded 10m streams for the day.

The Top 6 songs from Spotify's Christmas Eve 2020 now hold the Top 6 streaming peaks ever on the platform. Could Thursday's holiday bonanza be the biggest streaming day ever on Spotify?
