CAREN BOY NEVER
BROKE AGAIN

Inside sources reveal that APG founder/boss Mike Caren’s newly inked deal with WMG is non-exclusive—and a whopper—making him a free agent for the first time in 26 years, as he’s worked with Warner since he was a senior in high school.

As we reported earlier, the APG roster, including YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Ava Max, Charlie Puth and others—and all catalog—moves to Atlantic under the new arrangement, which was negotiated by uber-attorney Theo Sedlmayr. Any new signings could be distributed by ADA, where a new, non-exclusive deal exists.

Caren, it’s said, has made no changes to his existing team. His publishing, meanwhile—despite what many biz folk mistakenly believe—is completely outside the WMG pact; it's administered by Kobalt (not Warner Chappell), in a deal that is up soon but widely expected to be renewed.
