88rising/12Tone's Joji showcased his creative prowess with livestream The Extravaganza over the 10/24-25 weekend. Following his chart-topping album, Nectar, which has amassed more than 1.3 billion streams in the U.S., Joji's global event drew a stadium-sized audience spanning 105 countries.
The Extravaganza broke the livestream concert mold with sketches, MMA cage matches, cooking, dunk tanks, an ice sculpture and more. At one point Joji even performed his hit single, "Run," while running on a treadmill at full speed.
The hour-long special was one of the biggest paid livestream events this year. Along with global viewership, it impacted social media and trended on Twitter in five countries (#1 U.S. music, #2 U.S. overall), with more than 50,000 tweets in a 24-hour period.
