U.K. CHARTS: VAMPS CAMP AT #1
The Vamps have hit the top of the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with Cherry Blossom (EMI) while Internet Money land their first #1 single with “Lemonade” (10K Projects).
Of Cherry Blossom’s total sales, 87% were physical—the album was the week’s bestseller on vinyl.
Elsewhere on albums, Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon (Polydor) by Pop Smoke rebounds to #2 from #4. Irish country singer Daniel O’Donnell’s Daniel (DMG TV) is new at #3, while Katie Melua’s Album No.8 (BMG) enters at #7. Beabadoobee charts at #8 with Fake It Flowers (Dirty Hit).
The Struts claim their first Top 40 entry with third album Strange Days (Polydor) at #11, and a deluxe edition of Tom Petty’s Wildflowers & All the Rest (Warner Records) ends the week at #19.
On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, Internet Money f/Gunna, Don Toliver & Nav’s “Lemonade” climbs two places to steal the top spot this week, counting 4.9m streams. The track finished 1,700 chart sales ahead of Headie One f/AJ Tracey and Stormzy’s “Ain’t It Different” (Relentless).
Elsewhere in the Top 5, Tate McRae’s “You Broke Me First” (Ministry of Sound) climbs two to a new peak of #3, Pop Smoke’s “What You Know Bout Love” is up three to #4 and Miley Cyrus’ “Midnight Sky” (RCA) climbs one place to #5.
