SPOTIFY ADDS ONLINE CONCERTS TO LISTS

Spotify has opened its concert listings to include virtual events on artist profiles and in the concerts hub.

The listings start today as part of the streaming service’s partnership with Songkick and Ticketmaster.

Artists need to work through Songkick to get events listed; a select number of Ticketmaster events will also be automatically listed on Spotify.

As long as the shows are listed through these partners, the virtual event itself can be hosted on a multitude of platforms—Twitch, Instagram Live, YouTube Live or a hosted website.
