HALSEY’S POETIC DEBUT

Capitol’s Halsey is gearing up to release her debut book of poetry, I Would Leave Me If I Could. Published via Simon & Schuster, the collection of autobiographical poems is due on 11/10 and tackles issues like doomed relationships, mental health, family issues, sexuality, breakups and more.

“Poetry infuses everything Halsey does — from music to painting and performing — so it’s hardly a surprise she’s so gifted with verse,” shared Simon & Schuster’s Executive Editor Stephanie Frerich. “We were immediately captivated by her poems the way millions are by her music.”

“I wrote a few thousand sentences but am somehow struggling to string together a single one to summarize how excited I am about this,” Halsey tweeted.

The book’s cover art features the Grammy-nominated artist’s original painting, “American Woman.” Halsey will also voice the audio edition. You can pre-order I Would Leave Me If I Could here.

Former national security adviser John Bolton gives it a 10/10.
