U.K. CHARTS: LIAM LANDS AT #1

Liam Gallagher has topped the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with his live album, MTV Unplugged (Warner Records), on 21k sales. Over on singles, “Rockstar” by DaBaby f/Roddy Ricch (Polydor) scores a fifth week at #1.

Today, Gallagher has his third solo chart-topping record. MTV Unplugged is this year’s fastest-selling album on vinyl so far after shifting 10k copies and it's the first live album to reach the U.K. top spot in six years; the last was George Michael’s Symphonica in 2014.

Jack Garratt’s Love Death & Dancing (Island) lands at #8 while Thin Lizzy greatest hits The Essential (Spectrum) is new at #16.

A reissue of Manic Street Preachers’ second album, 1993’s Gold Against the Soul (Columbia), enters at #17, and Kodaline’s One Day at a Time (B-Unique) is new at #33.

At singles, “Rockstar” finished 12k sales ahead of “Rain On Me” (Polydor) by Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga, which holds at #2.

The self-released “Dinner Guest” by AJ Tracey f/Mostack rises one place to #5, and Regard and Raye are up four spots to #8 with “Secrets” (Ministry of Sound).

220 Kid & Gracey each claim their first Top 10 song with “Don’t Need Love” (Polydor) up three to #10. 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj’s “Trollz” (Create Music Group) have the highest new entry at #12.
