U.K. MIDWEEKS: SPORTS TEAM TOPS STANDINGS

It’s a neck-and-neck race for #1 on the Official Albums Chart between the debut from Sports Team and All Time Low’s eighth studio album. DaBaby and Lady Gaga, meanwhile, are in a duel at Singles.

Fewer than 300 chart sales currently separate Sports Team’s Deep Down Happy (Big Desert/Island) at #1 and All Time Low’s Wake Up, Sunshine (Atlantic), which was released physically on Friday. Deep Down Happy racked up the most vinyl sales over the weekend; Wake Up, Sunshine, released digitally in April, is tops in CD sales since Friday.

Lady Gaga remains a contender as well: Chromatica (Interscope) is the most downloaded and streamed album of the week so far and currently sits at #3.

The Human League could claim their first Top 10 album in 25 years with The Essential (Spectrum) at #7 and Australian indie band Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever are heading for their first U.K. chart entry with Sideways To New Italy (SubPop) at #9.

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Dion could secure his first U.K. Top 40 album as Blues with Friends (KTBA) is #13, followed by Kidz Bop Party Playlist at 15 and Run The JewelsRTJ4 (BMG) at #17.

At Singles, DaBaby & Roddy Ricch’s “Rockstar” (Interscope) is on course for a fourth non-consecutive week at the top as it is the most streamed song of the week so far. “Rain On Me” (Interscope) by Gaga & Ariana Grande registered the most downloads in the first two days of the chart week, keeping them firmly in the race.

“Flowers” (Atlantic) by producer Nathan Dawe and rapper Jaykae, and “Secrets” (Ministry of Sound) by Kosovan DJ Regard and British singer-songwriter Raye could reach new peaks this week; they’re currently at #11 and #15.
