U.K. MIDWEEKS: HAYLEY HEADS TO #1 

Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber are on course for a #1 while Hayley Williams’ debut solo album, Petals for Armor (Atlantic), leads the U.K.’s Official Albums race by more than of 1,100 combined chart sales.

At the midweek stage, Petals for Armor sits one place ahead of the debut album from The D-Day Darlings, I’ll Remember You (Sony Music CG). Originally released in November 2018 and peaking at #15, the Britain’s Got Talent finalists have released the Celebration Edition featuring four new songs to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day on Friday.

Elsewhere, Kehlani is on course for her first U.K. Top 10 album with It Was Good Until It Wasn’t (Atlantic) at #6, while Canadian rapper Nav’s Good Intentions (UMG) is at #9. Lil Durk is also set for a new entry with Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 (UMG) at #22.

Over on the U.K.’s Official Singles midweek chart, charity release “Stuck With U” (UMG) by Grande and Bieber sits ahead of Drake’s “Toosie Slide” (Island) by 2,500 combined chart sales.

At 103 years old, Dame Vera Lynn is on course to become the oldest living person to score a U.K. Top 40 single this week with her classic track “We’ll Meet Again” (Decca) currently at #6. The track has claimed the most downloads since Friday and has been streamed more than a half-million times in the last two days following VE Day celebrations. A collaborative version of the song with Katherine Jenkins as the lead artist is currently #28.

DaBaby is set for a new peak with “Rockstar” f/Roddy Ricch up one to #5. The track is #1 at Spotify and Apple Music in the U.K. Following the release of the official music video, “Break Up Song” (RCA) by Little Mix is up four places to #14.
