ON THE COVER

John Prine, who died due to complications related to COVID-19 on 4/7 at age 73, was a songwriter’s songwriter—a storyteller of uncommon depth and humanity whose work moved listeners of all musical tastes. He was also a beloved member of the musical community. His exit leaves a gaping void, but we are boundlessly grateful for his stunning body of work—and for the gift of his gracious, good-humored presence over many decades. Holly Gleason offered a heartfelt remembrance following his passing.
