ROGERS FANS FLOCK TO DIGITAL STORES

Fans of Kenny Rogers, who died Friday, are flocking to iTunes where nine of his classics from the 1970s and ‘80s are in the top 15. Rogers’ music is selling well at Amazon as well.

Led by “The Gambler” at #1 and his duet with Dolly Parton, “Islands in the Stream,” at #2, Rogers’s “Lady,” “Coward of the Country,” “Through the Years” and “We’ve Got Tonight” are in the iTunes Top 10.

At iTunes albums, Capitol Nashville’s 2018 compilation The Best of Kenny Rogers: Through the Years is #2 while the 1993 collection Daytime Friends—The Very Best of Kenny Rogers is #4. The collection Love Songs sits at #11; concurrently, Ultimate Dolly Parton has risen to #14.

A 20-song collection of Rogers’ ‘60s/’70s band The First Edition is #35.

Through the Years is also #2 at Amazon’s digital music store while Daytime Friends is #9.

The import Very Best of Kenny Rogers (Warner UK) is #1 at Amazon’s CD store followed by Capitol Nashville’s 21 Number Ones, which was released in 2006.
