SPOTIFY LAUNCHES EMERGING ARTIST PROGRAM RADAR

Spotify has launched RADAR, a global Emerging Artist program. On Monday morning, they rolled out 19 sister programs, including 36 artists, encompassing 50 countries worldwide.

Through RADAR, Spotify's deepening their commitment to rising artists across all stages of their development and strengthening their audiences—while focusing on pushing artists to the next stage in their careers.

“Spotify is thrilled to announce the launch of RADAR this year with an incredible group of emerging artists from across the globe,” said Ned Monahan, Spotify’s Head of Global Hits. “RADAR will become an influential program for up-and-coming artists across all genres worldwide and a great way for our global marketing and editorial teams to support the next generation of international superstars.”

The first artist in the U.S. to be featured is bilingual singer/songwriter Alaina Castillo. Her song "i don't think i love you anymore" is connecting with new fans and has earned over 3m streams, proving that she is an artist to watch.

Along with the program comes a new playlist titled On Our RADAR, which will highlight music and content from the current artist featured in the U.S., as well as new artists the U.S. editorial team is excited about.
